Update: 12 June 2026

All maps now restored, and website seems to be behaving itself.

RailMapOnline suffered an attack on 10 May and as a result the hosting company shut down the site before any wider damage was caused. The site and all maps were back online by 28 May, but on 1 June the web hosting went down due to a separate incident, and as a result the web site and email suffered further outages.

In case of further outages, you can get updates at X-Twitter, Bluesky and Mastodon.

Mail any feedback or questions to Feedback@RailMapOnline.com

Email was temporarily disabled on 10 May for all RailMapOnline email accounts. It continues to have periods of unavailability, so apologies if I don't receive your email or am slow to get back to you.

Security, Donations and Personal Details

Donations to help keep the site running are greatly appreciated, but I would never ask for a donation if it compromised your security.

All donations are initiated by the Ko-Fi app, and all payments are handled by Paypal. Only Paypal sees your payment details. None of your payment details or personal details are handled by RailMapOnline, or stored on the website or server. During the attack on RailMapOnline on 10 May, there was no opportunity for your payment details or personal details to be compromised. The only details I hold is a confirmation email from Paypal with the donation ammount, donating account name, and a contact email.

If you email me directly with feedback or a question then that email will be temporarily held on the RailMapOnline email server. Your emails and addresses won't be used for marketing or supplied to other organisations. If you'd rather not contact me by email, you can always message me on the RailMapOnline social media accounts (links at top-right of each page).

The RailMapOnline site doesn't use cookies or track users of the site. However, some of the maps use Google Maps, and Google may use cookies to track use of the maps. Extra security checks are handled by Cloudflare (the "confirm you're a human" check), and Cloudflare may also use cookies to monitor site access and security.
